An AI colleague for your cameras

Your cameras see everything. Woye understands it.

Tell it what matters in plain language. It watches, checks before it alerts, and reports back.

While you were away · 18:00 to 06:00

1 thing needs you. Everything else, I checked and cleared.

Someone at the back gate after hours

One person climbed in at 02:14 and stayed by the store door. I confirmed it on three frames before calling the guard.

Woye checked this and cleared it

Movement at the loading bay was a cat, 23:40.

An example morning handover, written the way Woye writes it.

Recording is not watching.

Six cameras record 144 hours of footage every day. Nobody watches it. It gets opened after something has already gone wrong, if anyone has time. Woye watches all of it, and tells you about the few moments that need a person.

Security first. Quiet until it matters.

Woye looks for the moments you would want to be woken for, and checks every one before it tells anyone.

Checked on several frames before it wakes anyone

A shadow, a cat or a passing headlight should not get your guard out of bed. Woye confirms an event across several frames first, and every alert arrives with the frames behind it, so you can see for yourself in a few seconds.

What it watches for

  • Intrusion
  • Entry after hours
  • A person down
  • A fight
  • Fire and smoke
  • Camera tampering
  • Missing PPE
  • Your own rules

The right person, at the right hour

Send each kind of alert to the people who handle it. Set quiet hours. If nobody responds, it escalates to the next person.

  • SMS

Talk to your cameras.

There is no rule builder to learn. Say what you want in your own words, the way you would brief a new guard.

  • Rules in your words

“Staff must wear gloves at the counter.” “Nobody in the yard after 10pm.” Woye turns each into a camera rule.

  • Ask about the footage

Ask what happened overnight, or search days of history for the white van at the gate.

  • Move PTZ cameras by asking

Send a pan-tilt-zoom camera to one of its saved presets without opening the camera’s own app.

  • Teach it how your place works

Give Teach Woye your SOPs, PDFs and WhatsApp chats. It writes a briefing and draft camera rules, and nothing goes live until you approve it.

Staff must wear gloves at the counter.

Draft camera rule added below. Choose its cameras before approving it.

What happened overnight?

A quiet night. Two deliveries at the dock before six, both on the schedule you gave me. Nothing for you to look at.

Turn the yard camera to the gate.

Moved it to your “Gate” preset.

It works out what each space is for, and counts what matters there.

Nobody has to tell it what to measure. A counter gets customers served and sales handed over. A dock gets trucks in and out. The numbers arrive in a daily report and a logbook you can search.

Counter camera

What I think this camera watches

A pharmacy counter, where customers are served across a till.

What I should report each day

  • Customers served
  • Sales handed over at the counter
  • Longest queue
  • Staff on duty
Dock camera

What I think this camera watches

A loading dock, where trucks back in to be loaded and unloaded.

What I should report each day

  • Trucks at the dock
  • Time at the dock
  • Staff on duty

The same cameras that guard the place at night tell you how the day went.

If it reads a space wrong, correct it in a sentence and the report follows.

Vehicles

The camera and the GPS tracker, as one record.

Trips, arrivals and departures

Where each vehicle went, when it got there and how long it stayed.

Harsh driving

Hard braking and sharp turns, matched to what the camera saw at that moment.

Checks in the cabin

Seatbelt off, phone in hand, or a driver who looks drowsy.

An evidence case per event

Frames, location and timeline together, ready to send to the driver or the insurer.

Evidence you can defend.

When an incident becomes a dispute, an insurance claim or a police report, the evidence is already packed.

Works with the cameras you have.

Keep your cameras and your recorder. Woye connects to what is already on the wall.

IP cameras

Any camera that speaks RTSP, with ONVIF for pan-tilt-zoom presets.

NVRs and DVRs

Connect the recorder once, then choose which of its channels Woye watches.

Analog cameras

Older analog cameras work through the recorder they already plug into.

Ring cameras

Link your Ring account today. An official Ring Appstore app is coming.

A phone or a laptop

Open Woye in a browser and use the device’s own camera as one more feed.

A small box on site

A Raspberry Pi or a mini PC relays video from your network. It is built for weak links: one 58‑camera site runs over an uplink of about 51 KB/s.

Where your video goes.

Recordings stay on your recorder.

Your NVR or Ring plan keeps recording as it does today. Woye doesn’t replace it or move your archive.

Only the moments that matter are analysed.

Frames from those moments are sent to AI models for analysis, and kept as evidence for as long as your retention setting says.

Hosted in your country where the law requires it.

Where data protection law calls for it, such as Nigeria’s NDPA or Zambia’s Data Protection Act, we can host in-country.

Face recognition only when you ask for it.

Off by default. A business can turn it on for staff attendance or access control, for people it enrols with their consent. Woye never identifies strangers or passers-by.

We publish what we measured: the evaluations, what it costs to run, and how it works under the hood, including where it fell short.
